To adjust the carburetor on a Yamaha badger is really simple. There will be two screws one is a slotted head and the other is a four way. To adjust the carburetor you have to turn the screws clockwise until the engine idles fast.

Basically a 2 barrel carburetor was developed for a V8 engine. It delivers fuel from 2 sides, each side for one row of cylinders. So you have single barrel carburetor only delivers one lot of fuel, 2 barrel delivers 2 lots of fuel to make distribution more even on V engines. You also have 4 barrel carburetors which deliver 4 lots of fuel for more even distribution and generally for better performance. When tuning a 2 barrel you can actually hear the difference if car has twin exhaust and you stand at the rear and listen as someone else tunes the carburetor.

There is no simple answer to this question, as the Holley is a universal carb and can be tuned to suit most any application.
