In older cars 4v = a four barrel carburetor. 2v would be a two barrel and a 1v would be one barrel
The 1970 model came with many different available engines.Available Engines:200 1V I6 120 h.p.250 1V I6 155 h.p.302 2V V8 220 h.p.302 4V V8 (Boss) 290 h.p.351 2V V8 250 h.p. (351W & 351C)351 4V V8 300 h.p.428 4V V8 335 h.p. (Cobra Jet)428 4V V8 335 h.p. (CJ-R)429 4V V8 375 h.p. (Boss)
The 5th character in the VIN # is a letter designating the engine size. If its an A its a 460-4V. C designates a 460-4V Police Interceptor. H is a 351 -2V & S denotes a 400-2V. Visually the 460s have valve covers which are flat and level with the fenders while 351s & 400s have valve covers that slope downwards slightly from the center of the engine.
The answer is -4v + 83v^2.
Yes I can. = v-16-4v = -4v-2 = you have to move all the variables to one side, and all the numbers to the other side... v - 4v + 4v = 16 -2 v= 14
the 351m/400 are the same engine the only difference is the crank and the pistons. as far as big block heads u can put 429/460 heads on it but u can put a decent set of 4v 351 Cleveland heads on it and a 4v intake with a 4 barrel carb on there then youll have a real torque monster
it equals 3+4v
It is equal to: 20v^2 +4v -24
Solve S = 4v2 for v . -4(4-v)= -2(2v-1) v-16+4v = -2(2v-1) v-16+4v = -4v + 2 -16+5v = -4v + 2 5v = -4v + 18 9v = 18 v = 2
-8-3v = 4v+48 -3v-4v = 48+8 -7v = 56 v = -8
Step 1. Divide by 4v: 4v(3v2 + v - 24) Step 2. 4v(3v - 8)(v + 3)
12+ 4v = 25 subract 12 from each side of the '=' sign. 4v = 13 divide each side by 4 v= 3.25 thus: 12+ (4x3.25) = 25
The 429-4V was available in three different versions. The first was the 429 Thunder Jet, the standard engine for the Cobra, rated at 360 hp (270 kW). Next was the 429 CJ (Cobra Jet), rated at 370 hp (280 kW), which included a 2-bolt main block, hydraulic lifters, a 700 CFM Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. and was available with or without Ram Air. The top 429 option was the 429 SCJ (Super Cobra Jet), rated a 375 hp (280 kW), and was part of the "Drag Pack" option. These engines were underrated for insurance purposes, and made around 420 -440 h.p. How many were installed in the convertible I do not know. Not sure how many 4 speeds, but I know there was 125 automatic 429 Thunder Jet 1970 Ford Torino GT convertibles made. I also know there there were a total of 19 automatic, and 4 speed 429 super cobra jet torino convertibles made in 1970, some ram air, some non-ram air. There are a total of 7 accounted for today in SCJ for 70'. There were no super cobra jets offered in a torino in 1971. Hope that helps a little.
