To tighten the fan belt on a Renault Master, a person needs to adjust the belt tension wheel. This wheel has a bolt that is inserted in a groove. The bolt can be loosened and then moved to the desired location to tighten the belt.
To adjust the fan belt on a Matiz 800SE, first, locate the belt tensioner and loosen the bolts securing it. Then, adjust the tension by either moving the alternator or the tensioner itself, ensuring the belt has about half an inch of play when pressed in the middle. Once the desired tension is achieved, tighten the bolts securely and check for proper alignment. Finally, start the engine and observe the belt to ensure it runs smoothly.
If it is a serpentine belt the automatic tensioner will adjust the belt for you. If it is an older "V" type belt--there should be 1/2" "play" at the middle of the belt, between the pulleys.
I believe it to be on the fan belt mechanisim..the pulley that allows you to adjust the tension.
