First look up the back lash for your cam, and get feelers for that and .001 bigger. Use them for a go-no go set of gages.
Then, with #1 at tdc for compression, set 1,2,5,and 7 intakes and 1,3,4, and 8 exhausts so the go fits and the no go does not. Then rotate the engine one revolution (#6 tdc) and do the rest.
It has adjustable rockers.
If you have a 2001 or newer engine, it comes with roller lifters and roller rockers from the factory.

The impala ss LT1 did not come from the factory with roller rockers, they came with stamped steel rockers. If you are installing roller rockers in yours, the common advise is to go 1/2 turn after 0 lash, when the pushrod no longer moves up and down.
Chevy 350 small block engines with hydralic lifters set at 0 lash. That means start the engine and adjust the valve until it just quits clicking. Then tighten the nut approx 3/4-1 turn then set the next one.
YES it does and it is a roller cam and hydraulic lifters.
They are fixed rockers so their are no adjustments for the rockers.
how do you ajust the lifters on a Chevy s 10. its making a taping noise
yes
non adjustable rockers only unless you bought aftermarket roller rockers in which case they are just like Chevy rockers to adjust. buy a new set that's the only way your goin to adjust em or you could posibly file them down but your risking alot there. id recomend just buying a new oe set for your 307ci.
No it does not. Chevy did not start using a roller cam until late 1995.
perhaps the rockers aren't adjusted properly.
