My 1998 E320 has a shimmy when braking that feels like the front rotors. It isn't the rotors but it also responded to adjusting the rack tension. It is a star nut on the back side of the rack facing down. I couldn't buy that size star socket but a regular 6 point socket worked. I only moved it about 20 or 30 degreees. I also replaced the left tie rod but I still have the shimmy. Is this like your case? Max, alfabear17@Verizon.net
Rack/pinion doesn't have adjustments for wear. If it is bad, replacement is needed.
You don't, because an XF Falcon doesn't have rack and pinion steering. It has a steering box.
It is where you adjust the light comming from the mirror.
There is no adjustment on rack and pinion steering. If you're steering is sloppy or something I suggest you get an alignment and your front end checked.
When owning a car, a person should know the ins and outs of the vehicle. The 1998 Chevy Blazer does have the rack and pinion steering.?æ
