European Passats have a headlight leveling switch located to the left of the steering wheel (on Left Hand Drive cars). It's purpose is to provide the ability to adjust your headlights if you have a heavy load in the back of the car. If you are moving to England you need to replace your LHD headlights with Right Hand Drive headlights. There is also an aiming adjustment on the headlights themselves.
Quote: I have a 2003 Kia Sorento and when my husband changed my headlights I asked him to "adjust" them. He tried to put he said that they can't be adjusted to point higher, lower or whichever way because they are screwed into place. Unquote. Just in case anyone comes across this reply when looking for how to adjust Sorento headlights: the answer above is wrong. Sorento headlights are adjustable up & down, and side to side with a Phillips screwdriver. In addition, some Sorentos have and in-vehicle headlight adjustment switch so you can adjust for extra weight in the rear while you are driving.
where is the fuel filter located on a 2003 Pontiac sunfire
There are adjusting screws on the top and side of each headlight. You can aim them using a wall or your garage door to check level and projection and take it on the road to check whether you are blinding oncoming drivers. Driver side headlight should be aimed slightly to right to avoid that problem. If you live in a state with vehicle inspections, the inspection stations should have a device to check your headlights' aim.

I just replaced my headlight on my 2003 sx.2. There is only one adjustment and that is up and down. At the back of the assembly you will see a hole in which a screwdriver can be placed to turn an adjusting rod.
