there is no adjustments on the headlights.
On models 1996 onwards (this might also apply to earlier models), there are vertical and horizontal alignment screws on the front part of the engine compartment. There are adjusting screws on the top and side of each headlight. You can aim them using a wall or your garage door to check level and projection and take it on the road to check whether you are blinding oncoming drivers. Driver side headlight should be aimed slightly to right to avoid that problem. If you live in a state with vehicle inspections, the inspection stations should have a device to check your headlights' aim.
Take it to the dealer and let them put there gauges on them to get them set right.
There are little black rods sticking up by the head lights that have a spot to put a screwdriver in. You turn these rods to aim the headlights correctly.

To aim the Mitsubishi Galant Headlights open the engine compartment of the vehicle. Locate the headlights and use a screwdriver on the vertical adjustment screw positioned on top of the headlight. This screw will allow adjustment for position where the light will shine.
