How do you beat pelican rock on poptropica?

The Gulliver's Travels game was the second ad-feature for the movie on Poptropica, beginning in early December, 2010. The first feature was simply a movie trailer that gave you a "size controller", which only worked in the "shrink" mode. The second was an actual ad-game that featured two different challenges. The player must win one of the two to get the reward.

Opening of the Game

You enter and board a ship. It sails out into the sea toward a red Bermuda Triangle marked on the map. But unlike the Skullduggery Island ship, your goal is to get sunk. Sail into the thunderstorm clouds anywhere on the board. (If you attempt to dock at the island on the far side, your browser will reset.) Once you have arrived in Lilliput, you can play either or both of the two different challenges.

Challenge 1 - as Gulliver

The land is being attacked by invaders, and they raise an army to fight. But the enemies shoot flaming arrows at them. Your task is to block the arrows by letting them hit you instead of the Lilliputians on the ground. If they are hit, they run away. There are three sets of arrows launched. If you can protect just one soldier and the two leaders, you win the challenge.

Challenge 2 - as a Lilliputian

You are running to deliver a message, and there are hazards on your path (stones, rolling rocks, and thorn bushes) that you must avoid. But the biggest threat is from the Giant Sneakers of Gulliver, which come down to step on you at regular intervals. You have 100 health points, and lose 10 for any obstacle or 30 for getting stepped on. The only way to avoid being hit by the sneaker (and losing all your health) is to stay to the left side of the scene until the sneaker begins to come down. Then you must quickly jump to the right side. If you jump too soon, the sneaker follows you. If you jump too late, you don't get out of the way. Crossing the forest without losing all your health wins the challenge.

Rewards

Completing either challenge wins the rewards. You receive two different effects: one (Gulliverizer) that increases your size and one (Lilliputianizer) that shrinks you down. The spacebar does not function on these effects as it does on the Mythology Island crown of Hades. You also receive a Gulliver costume.

To beat Mr. Silva, go behind objects (such as books, scraps of paper etc.).

When there are no more things left but a mirror and you stand behind it, the mirror will reflect the shot back at Mr. Silva, and he will drop the shrink ray and shrink!
