The mini-bots can be destroyed by luring them to the glowing yellow orbs (there are four: two on the ground and two near the ceiling). If you can get the "plug" of the mini-bot to contact the orb, the energy flow destroys the mini-bot. Use your grapple to reach the two higher orbs.
*Note : if either the mini-bots or Director D stop moving, you have encountered a known glitch. You must reboot Poptropica and play the "hideout" sequence over again to finish the island.

There is nothing you can do if the Mini-bots freeze up. You will probably have to reboot Poptropica and do Spy Island over -- you may get to keep your items. Before you reboot, try this: leave the satellite using the transporter, go back to Main Street, and leave Spy Island. Then come back and return to the satellite using the transporter. This has occasionally de-glitched the island.
