The American skin tradition for the most part has always been that someone who has been a skin for a long duration and knows the ins and outs would take it upon themselves to "cut in" or shave the head on the incoming fresh cut (term for new skinhead). The need/ importance for one to get "cut in" varies by states. Skinheads are non-racist and non-political as the original skinhead had no intricate agenda as such. Understand that being a skinhead is a way of life, not a trendy fashion one can just hop out of as they please. Know your roots, enjoy drinking yourself to death with your buddies (unless you're straight edge), and more importantly: Stay True.
