That's way Megatron wanted to change thing for the better) Megatron gathered transformers that agreed with him. they were none as the Decepticons. and anyone that didnt agree were called Autobots. and thin there was the war that Megatron started with new intentions, whitch was to destroy the Primes, all excepted Optimus Prime. so your question: who started the Autobots the Autobots came from Primes the "Creator" of the planet Cybertron. first came the Primes that were created as antibodys to destroy the harvester of death none as Unicron, then came the citizens of Cyertron called Cybertroyans (aka transformers), and then came the split of Autobots and Decepticons.
