It depends on how long you've been dating. My boyfriend was really uncomfortable with talking to me when we first started dating, but then he got used to it. You just have to start conversations, and not act awkward. Or, it may just be that the relationship isn't right, or that you really like him. Either way, it won't work out if you can't talk to him in person very much. Small talk. Works best. Hope I helped! (:
