Well, it's not really possible to become the "leader" of Switzerland. But ok, let's try to explain what you need to achieve...
First you have to be known... this means that you will have to get a member of Swiss parliament, either the coucil of states or the national council...
To get into the council of states you have to make people of your state (called cantons in Switzerland) to vote for you. There are 46 seats for 26 cantons... 2 for each of the 20 full-cantons and 1 for each semi-canton... so, it's not that easy. You will also have ot make people vote for you to get into the national council... but there are 200 seats distributed according to the populations of the cantons. If you manage to do that you are a member for at least four years.
Now... you have to make the members of the parliament to vote for you to be chancellor of the confederation to lead and overview the meetings of the presidents. Or they should support you to become a president, a member of the Bundesrat... the Swiss federal council.
Good, these are the most noted positions in Swiss politics... but there are seven presidents (each one gets a department). So in any case you have to divide power... even if you are for one year the representative you are still "primus inter pares" (the first among equals).
