After a while, It he likes you enough and you go to the church after 7:00 p.m., you will get the Carter's Foodsupply cutscene, and you can get a truffle and a mushroom everyday. Giving the honey does pay off in the end, as selling the truffle will earn you 500 g each if shipped.
