Have a helper pump the brake pedal several times then hold pressure on it. Loosen the bleeder valve at a wheel caliper, and let fluid out slowly until the pedal reaches the floor. Close the valve and have the helper release the pedal and pump it again. Repeat until no air comes out with the fluid, then move to the next wheel.

have some one pump and hold the brake pedel and bleed both lines at the mastercyc and bleed all the brakes on all 4 wheels. if it keeps going down you have a leak somewhere.
Brake light switch on the brake pedal is defective
The best disc brake system I have found for the Mote Carlo would be from the performance online shop. I believe you can purchase from a GM dealer or through another company. It all depends on the price you are willing to spend for the disc brake kit.

If your 98 Monte Carlo brake lights do not work when you hit the brakes, but the top one behind the glass works, check the bulbs. If the bulbs have burn out, the lights will cease to work.
