Fill PS. resavior with fluid install cap and start engine. Turn the wheels all the way to the right and hold for a second then turn to the left and hold for a second do this several times. Check fluid level, add if needed. then drive the truck. NEUTZ

It could also be that the pump is just speeding up. NEW ANSWER: YOU can't bleed the PS pump and there is no reason to. All you have to do is turn the wheels all the way to the left and right a few times and it will bleed it's self. Are just go and drive it. I've been a mechanic for 30 years and I've never heard of bleeding a power steering pump. Newer Awnser: According to my Silverado Teardown guide, you can bleed the power steering pump by first checking the cold level, adding as needed. Start the truck, turn wheels left and right a few times. Let the system warm up, check level again...done.
