basicly, you need something putting in the way between the exhaust pipe and egr valve. there are common "blocker" plate kits available on the internet (check ebay) that include full instructions. if you do block the egr tho, you are liable for a fine as the egr is an emissions related product

EGR stands for "Exhaust Gas Recirculation". the 7.3 is a Diesel engine not a Gas engine. Diesel engines are not equipped with an EGR.
