unhook it from both ends and blow air through it Disconnect the line at the carburetor. REMOVE THE FUEL FILTER. Blow air through this portion of the line. If possible, remove the line at the fuel tank and plug the outlet in the tank. Now blow out the line between the filter and the tank.
The fuel vent may have debris in it. Usually part of the fuel filler neck.
Most military flamethrowers have a pressure tank, holding compressed gas to push the fuel out of the weapon, and a fuel tank, holding liquid fuel. There is no air inside the tank. If a shot penetrated the fuel tank while it was under pressure, it would spray fuel (that may ignite), but would not be likely to explode.
All outboard gas primers - take it off blow threw gas tank side (from gas tank) and there should be no restriction, you should be able to blow threw with ease completely open all the way threw. Blow through the motor side of the primer bulb and it should be impossible to do so as it has one or two check valves which open when you draw fuel from your fuel tank and close upon releasing bulb keeping the fuel up in to the motor or fuel bowl........

Drain fuel tank, blow out fuel lines, pour gasoline into carb or throttle body to run vehicle to get rid of balance of diesel fuel
blowback is caused by adding fuel to fast. the filler neck is not large enuff to allow air from the tank to escape as fuel is being put in tank. remedy this by filling fuel tank slower.you can also drive onto a wooden block with wheel closest to tank filler. this tips vehicle and helps air escape
Drain the fuel tank, remove the fuel fill hose from the side of the truck. Remove retaining straps for the fuel tank, lower slightly. Remove fuel hoses from fuel tank, noting which line goes to which hose. Remove fuel gauge wire. Drop fuel tank out of the truck. Blow off excessive dirt from the top of the fuel tank, use a special tool to rotate the retaining ring around the fuel line inlet into the tank. After you remove the ring, lift out fuel sender/pump assembly, noting which direction the assembly was in, as well as which direction the fuel sock is pointed at the bottom of the fuel pump. Replace pump & fuel sock. Reassemble.
