keep the male and female in different containers at first, then put them together. If they fight then the female is not ready to spawn. After the spawning the female need to be removed right away or they will fight.
The simple answer is no.
they are supposed too.
No, Betta fish are aggressive toward any other fish they see. They cannot mate.
Yes all bettas can mate with other bettas. " regular betta fish" there are different types and they can all breed together.
A Betta is not and can not be a mouth breeder/brooder. Bettas are Anabantids and have evolved to be bubblenest builders. That is what they do. Thay can not breed any other way.
it attacks the other fish most likely killing it. Quant
Bettas don't form pair bonds like some other fish--notably cichlids--do, so you can breed your female to the male you already have.
A betta can breed with similar species like paradise fish. The bettas most often seen in pet stores are Betta splendens. They cannot interbreed with all species of bettas, some of which belong to other genera as well.
well if its a betta fish then yes, two male bettas in one bowl may result in one killing the other. you may also notice that even when there is only one male betta is in a bowl it will try to attack its reflection thinking its another male betta
No they cannot. But if you're planning on breeding your betta fish I suggest you don't let the male and female share a bowl all the time. Because the female may not be particularly nice to the male. By that I mean she'll probably bite at him and other things so just be aware of that. Hope this helps :)
rats and other rodents can breed. they just need to be bred by professionals.Do not breed them without experience, they may get severe injuries.
Yes betta fish do have bones like most other fish.Yes. All beta fish have bones. Unless it was born without them then it would just be a fishy blob.
