The exact same laws in effect when buying firearms from a store, shop, or private citizen apply at a gun show. The process of buying a firearm at a gun show is no different than it is to buy a firearm elsewhere.
If you live in Pennsylvania, you buy a gun at a gun show the same way you buy one at a licensed seller's place of business. Have a state issued ID (Driver's license) with your current address (No P.O. box) and you fill out the federal form for a long gun, and a federal and state for for a handgun. There are few exceptions to filling out paperwork (I.e. if the long gun or handgun you wish to buy is strictly black powder only and cannot be modified to fire a modern cartridge.) If you live outside PA, more than likely you will have to have the firearm shipped to a licensed seller in your state, provided the firearm complies with state laws.
You can buy shotguns and rifles out of state, but not handguns. Also, some states have individual restrictions, so you should check NJ and PA law.
