you need to be familiarized with different Guitars so you can buy one you feel good with,
So, tour some guitar stores take your time just to get the idea of different guitars.
ask for help: some one who can take an hour to discuss different qualities with you (sound, playability, construction, reliability, price,)
be sure to try a high end guitars (gibson, fender) you may not buy one but youll know what to expect from a good guitar also ask about the set up of the guitar you are playing on.
Dont forget the amplifier. a guitar cant function without it if you cant afford a good one at least check your guitar on a good one !
Take your time make a list of pros and cons.
when you learn to appreciate different guitars you are ready

it depends on the type of guitar you got bass or electric, any amp will work for electric guitar but not all amps work with electric bass.

The Rickenbacker C series electric guitar does not come with an amp. You will need to buy one seperately.
no, i personally have a capo (which is a clamp for your guitar) for an electric guitar. and it works great. but make sure that the capo you buy is for your type of guitar. i have one which is for electric and acoustic and it cost about £5.
