I had the same problem on my 94 Eldo. The ignition was changed, same problem. After a small fire in the trunk!!!! it turned out that the pulling motor of the lid was the real problem. Some cables must have been faulty causing the alarm system to think somebody was tampering with the trunk and ocasionally shut off.I´d have a closer look at the wiring back there.Good luck!

form_title=Install an anti-theft system form_header=Add another layer of protection to your valuable investment by installing an anit-theft system. you did not mention what year, but are you sure it was the ignition and not the anti theft system. If you think it could be the anit theft system, than you can try turning the key on for 10 minutes and than off for on e and repeat this and than see if it starts.
You require a bypass module to do this since the PA is equipped with PKIII. You need to install an antenna around where the key is inserted, and then install a module. You'll need to tap into the wires that come out of the PKIII module. Instructions should be pretty straightforward. On prior models with PKII you can use resistors to bypass the anit theft, but that isn't the case with PKIII.
It shows that the anit-theft alarm is active.
You can bypass it by removing the three pin plug from the lock cylinder. This will only be successful if done while the engine is running. It will remain in "code accepted mode" with wires disconnected at this time and no new inputs! This proccess may or may not need to be repeated if battery power is lost.
were abs anit-lock brakes system
It should not need a reset, other than if it has an anit theft radio. In that case the radio would be inop until a code is entered.
There is a problem with the Anti-Lock brake system. Seek professional help.
The everyday use for an anti-lag system is to feed air to the exhaust system. The anit-lag system is used to keep the turbocharger spinning when the engine is not delivering enough exhaust gas.
could be several things bad coil or the relay box on the distrubitor could also be the anti theft box see if you have spark that will tell you if its electrical or not if it doesnot engauge at all could be the anit theft box
START WITH A THE BASICS IS THERE ANIT FREEZE IN IT ? IF THERE IS ,, FLUSH THE RAD AND INSTALL A NEW THERMOSTAT AND NEW FLUID IF THERE IS NOT.. DO A PREASURE TEST TO SEE WHERE THE LEAK MAY BE ..IT COULD BE A BLOWN HEAD GASKET .
