Should be mounted at the top of the starter
The solenoid is attached to the starter. There is no relay.
you have to remove the starter to replace the relay and the relay cost almost as much as the whole starter so you are better off just replacing the whole starter.
Starter lockout relay, next to the battery.
The starter relay on most Toyota Forerunners is located on the right side of the engine, in a fuse box in the engine compartment. However, on models with the 2UZ-FE engine, the starter relay is located on top of the engine.
the fuse is next to the parking brake The relay is in the box under the hood near the wipers.
The fuel pump on a 91 Ford Ranger is controlled by the starter fuse and relay. This relay is located under the hood. It will be located by the fender on the drivers side.
There isn't one. The main battery cable goes to the solenoid which then activates the starter from current from the ignitiion switch.
below left side of I/P near fuse block
On the drivers side under the hood there is two,2 inch high black boxes on a bracket. One of those black boxes is the fual pump relay and the other is the external fan relay.Usually its the left that is the fan relay....but after replacing them both..the fan still did not turn on.No power from inside to the fan relay switch.....Manual creating a switch is not very wise.....can someone give me a link to the wiring diagram for a 91 camero rs 2.8 l v6 with a/c,automated windows and t-tops.
It is on the starter itself and is called the starter solenoid. Heavy current is handled by the solenoid which is activated by the ignition switch. Current comes from the igniton switch, then to the s terminal on the starter which then connects heavy amperage to the starter motor itself.
The 1991 Ford Explorer should have a separate starter relay that sends power to the starter. It sounds like the relay has stuck and is sending power to the starter even after the vehicle is running.
