How do you calm a cat after it has been attacked by something paranormal?

You pick the cat up if it will let you and talk to it in a low, caring voice. Tell the cat that it isn't real and if it was you wouldn't let it hurt them. Most of all just be there for your cat. Don't turn on the TV and ignore your cat. Most cat's are pscyhic and can see and hear things that we don't. The lady who lived below me in our apartment complex hated my cat and was mean to it. She died and she is still being mean to my cat. My cat gets sooooo spooked. She can see her as a ghost, whereas I can't. Still, it doesn't make it any less real for the cat.
