im guessing that you are asking how do you change the timing belt cover? you have to take off the valve cover and then there are a few bolts holding on the cover.
behind the timing belt cover
the water pump belt is your timing belt under the timing belt cover
The 1991 Acura Integra fuel cutoff switch can be found in the fuse box. The fuse box is in the engine compartment. The cutoff switch location can be found on the inside cover of the fuse box.
pop the hood. look at the engine valve cover, which says DOHC... and look slightly down.
on the passanger side of the valve cover......or it's that plastic thing with the 4 thick wires coming out of it
behind the fan belts. under the timing belt cover (driven by the timing belt)
The engine on an Integra is tranverse (sideways). All V-belts are on the left (driver's) side. Behind the V-Belts you should be albe to see a plastic cover mounted to the engine itself that extends from the overhead cam(s) to the crankshaft pulley. Behind this cover is the timing belt. The water pump sets between the crank shaft and cam shaft(s) and is driven by the timing belt. The impeller of the water pump extends INTO the front of the block itself. You can not see the water pump unitl the timing belt cover is removed. Note: the lower V-belt pulley on the crank shaft must be removed before the timing belt cover can be taken off. Good luck.
ANSWER or just look at the diagram on the inside of the fuse cover, if you dont have that, go to auto wreckers in your area, find your car, and grab the fuse cover.
your oil pump is located behind the lower timing cover. to replace you will have to drop oil pan pull crank gear off and then lower timing cover
If it smells like oil u most likely jus need a new valve cover gasket
Hello, I have a 1990 acura integra and we found a lot of info on line from the library, but to do it on line you need a library card. or you can go to the library and you can use there computer to look it up, we were even able to find the wiring diagram for her. and they will even print out the pages you may need. I hope that helps. Good Luck
The water pump is driven by the timing belt - you have to remove the valve cover, all accessory drive belts (power steering, alternator, and a/c), the timing belt cover, and the timing belt to access the water pump. If the pump has gone bad, I strongly suggest replacing the timing belt - they're both scheduled maintenance items that should be replaced every 90,000 miles on 1990 and newer Integras, and every 60,000 on 1989 and older Integras. If the belt breaks with the engine running, your engine is trashed. I'd also suggest replacing the timing belt tensioner at this time, along with the accessory drive belts.
