You have to remove the drive axle to replace the seal- you have to first remove the tire, then the brakes/caliper/rotor, large center axle nut, unbolt the tie rod end, unbolt lower ball joint, push end of axle through hub while pulling hub outward till you can shift the axle out of the hub. Then, use a pry bar between transmission and axle to pop axle out of transmission. Set aside and use a screwdriver to pry the seal out- evenly tap the new seal it with a soft face hammer and reassemble in reverse order. Make sure to tighten the large axle nut to 145* ft pd, torque.....

Place a blunted chisel on the inside of seal and hit down with hammer.
You have to pull the entire axle. Take off the tire and wheel hub. unbolt the tie rod from the wheel hub. unbolt strut assembly from wheel hub. Pull transaxle drain plug to empty as much fluid as possible. Use a pry bar to remove the right side drive shaft from the transaxle. Note that some fluid will still leak, despite having drained the transaxle. use a screwdriver to remove the old seal. Moisten new seal with fresh transaxle fluid prior to installing. Install new seal with a seal installer tool and mallet, by gently tapping it into place. Reinstall axle by following steps in reverse order. Don't forget to replenish transaxle fluid with SPIII fluid!
Ok I wont go into the details, but you have to remove the transmission . Then you must remove the tork converter and just behind it is the frount trans seal. You just pry it out with a screw driver and the new one will pop in with a small hammer. It cost about say 8 dollors fot the seal it is all the work involved in removing the trans is where all the work comes in.
Need to know what seal you are talking about. Front crankshaft seal, wheel seal, etc?
How do you replace spart plug tube seal of Honda accord LX 1994?
Remove transmission and replace the rear main seal
ANY transmission shop would have this tool. this is a two piece axle seal that is really difficult to change. I do not recommend it to anyone without any experience
To replace the rear engine seal on a Honda, first ensure the vehicle is safely lifted and secured. Remove the transmission or transaxle to access the rear of the engine, then carefully extract the old seal using a seal puller or flat tool. Clean the sealing surface and install the new seal, ensuring it is seated evenly. Finally, reassemble the transmission and check for leaks after starting the engine.
There are three large oil seals for rotating shafts and a couple seals for other things. Each of them requires a different and quite involved repair procedure.A basic idea:Each output or axle seal requires dis assembly of that side suspension and removal of the drive shaft, also known as a half shaft. The seal that seals the Torque converter requires removal of the transmissionInput shaft seal and electrical pug seals may be repairable on the car but require removal of both oil pans. On some cars removal of the trans may be needed.
Which oil seal and which engine?? There's an oil pan gasket, a rear main seal, a front seal, valve cover gaskets, and an oil pump shaft seal, just to name the main ones.
