See Headlamp Assembly removal, under Section 5: Service and Appearance Care - Bulb replacement, on page 5-53 of your "Owner's Manual"...
The headlamp fuse on a 2004 Chevy Impala is located in the main fuse panel under the dash. It prevents the headlamp from drawing too much power or being damaged by a surge.
simply remove the two screws located on the top of the headlamp assembly and then pull the headlamp assembly forward to gain access to the light bulbs
1. Open the hood. 2. Remove the front air deflector. 3. Apply light pressure to the headlamp lens to hold the headlamp assembly in place while disconnecting the retainers. 4. Lift up the headlamp assembly retainers to release. Important: Note the location and position of the headlamp adjuster retainers and the locator tab. 5. Remove the headlamp assembly, pulling straight forward from the headlamp mounting panel. 6. Disconnect the wiring harness from the headlamp assembly. 7. Rotate the headlamp bulb/socket counterclockwise to release. 8. Remove the headlamp bulb/socket from the headlamp assembly, if required. There are (2) pull up clip retainers that hold the headlamp assembly in place...Both of these must be removed for the headlamp assembly to be pulled forward...:)
You have to remove the whole headlamp assembly. Remove the 1 bolt 6mm? and pull outwards.
Open the hood and look for the upside down "l" shaped rods over the headlamp assembly. Lift each one up and out and remove the assembly. Once done reach down and push and twist the bulb out from the back of the running light assemble underneath where the headlamp assembly was. Replace bulb and reverse the process.

My 03 Ram 1500 has a "star" head screw under each headlamp assembly. Righty tighty-brings headlamp up. Lefty loosy-brings headlamp down.
Hi,The headlamp bulb is relatively easy to replace in these vans. What you have to do is remove the turn signal assembly first, and then the headlamp assembly. This is done by removing 3 wing nuts that hold the assemblies in, and then pulling the turn signal assembly straight out, followed by the headlamp assembly. The headlamp assembly has to be lifted UP and then Out.Once you have the assembly out, the headlight bulb can be unscrewed from the back of the assembly and replaced. Be careful not to get any oil from your fingers on the new bulb, as that will heat up when the light is on and decrease the lifetime of the bulb.I have included a link below that shows pictures of the assemblies and how to removed them.Take Care, Greg
seems to be a common problem on this vehicle. I have a 2000 Montana and I have had to replace the complete headlamp assembly because there were cracks that let water in the headlight bucket. I have also seen the lens actually pull away from the whole assembly as well. The last time I replaced a headlamp assembly, I made sure I covered the lens to assembly gap with clear silicon, seems to be doing the trick so far.
Time to change your oil in your engine!
change the oil pump sensor.
As per the instructions on page 5-55 of your "Owner's Manual"...
