The filter is located inside the gas tank. I don't understand why and it makes no sense to me. It is not on Mazda's recommended maintenance schedule so I assume they have pioneered a lifetime filter.
Dont talk SHITE, it is not in the tank, it is situated behind the battery (right hand drive) just behind the fire guard under the windscreen
where is the fuel filter on a 2003 mazda 6 2.3l.
The fuel filter coming in side of the fuel tank on the fuel pump , but i thing no need to change because its hard job. I have 2003 model Mazda 6 alreday 196000 KM & i did not change the fuel filter. Regards Abdullah al brahim from K.S.A

first you must remove the air filter then the air filter box it is held on by 3 or 4 bolts after taking out air filter box you will be able to access the fuel filter
The fuel filter on a 2005 Mazda 6 is located just outside the fuel tank, along the frame. It is attached using bolts which hold it in place and allows for easy removal.
I've been told there is no separate fuel filter. its built into the pump
The fuel filter is located under the rear drivers side door.
You can not drain all the gas out, there will bee spillage.
