You can't, The computer system in that 93 is designed and programed to operate the 4L60E transmission and engine.
NOT the 700R4, and yes it will bolt right up but the engine will not run right and the speed sensor will not work either.
The check engine light will stay on and you will always have engine running problems.
BE SMART and PUT the 4L60E back in that 93 are you'll be sorry.

Will need to adapt speedometer signal. Your re programmer might be able to figure it out, but more likely you will have to.

First of all, the 4L60E was installed in ALL GM G-series vans from 1992-1996 and possibly later. It was not only installed in 93-94 Vans with the 4.3. Second, it is not the speedometer that would be the main problem. It would be the overall control of shifting, which is controlled by the ECM. In 1989, the transmission (700R4, most likely) also had a TV cable, which aided in shifting and it was partially controlled by the ECM. The 4L60E is completely electronically controlled. There are kits to install a 4L60E in older vehicles and it is such an improvement over the 700R4 that it is worth the added expense for the computer kit..
