I went to O'Reilly's last night after seeing my dashboard warning that the low beam had burned out, and purchased two replacement bulbs. I was hoping that they could/would replace it for me, I am a girl... the two guys/employees, said: "oh no, we cannot/don't work on Volvo's they are too hard, too many pieces to remove to get to the bulb. We won't be responsible... we might break something. Darn!
I got my bulbs, as they recommended buying two as the other would be following - burnout. Good Sales trick... I headed home, hoping to be safely there before dark... as I was told by several people I could get a ticket traveling with a burned out headlamp/ cannot; you drive with highbeams! Florida rule.
This morning I decided to "Google it" and found it is quite simple. You turn off the lamp on the dashboard, open the hood, release a vertical pin with your Phillips screwdriver or car key, pull it out, disconnect the wire electrical hook-up. Don't touch the new bulb with bare hands as it will mess up the quality and life of the bulb. Pop open the holder that has the old bulb, and replace it. Put everything back in reverse order! So that is what I am going to do now!
