If that's the extent of the complaint, check the serpentine belt and tensioner.
99 Honda passport has a timing belt.
On a 1995 passport it has a timing belt
Loosen the timing belt tensioner so the belt will have some slack before removing it from a 1985 Honda Civic. Remove the old belt. Install the new belt and make sure the engine is TDC.
Belt
That I know of, there is NO serpentine belt, unless you are talking about the the Timing Belt (hardly serpentine, but anyway), it has a belt tensioner, not automatic, though.
It is behind the timing belt coves and you will have to take the timing belt off to change the water pump out
Yes the 2000 passport has a timing belt as does its identical twin the Isuzu Rodeo.
You can change the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner pulley. When the tensioner pulley is loose and the serpentine belt will become loose. Put the new serpentine belt on and tighten the tensioner pulley.
We need to know the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle then we need to know if you want to change the belt tensioner or the belt or both.
You have to unscrew the tensioner bolt and remove the serpentine belt first, then change the pulley and replace the belt. You have to unscrew the tensioner bolt and remove the serpentine belt first, then change the pulley and replace the belt.
Yo go to advanced auto parts and buy a Haynes manual. Ask the what it is if you dont know. There are 2 bolts involved. Its easy.
