If it's a diesel (which Cdi suggests it is), it's quite likely it is cam-chain, and hence will not need to be changed on a regular/scheduled basis.
Usually the cam belt should be changed every 60,000 miles
I believe all vauxhalls are recommended for a belt change at 40,000 miles.
When to change out a timing belt on 06 vectra sri Mileage wise
It's a cambelt.
they have a chain mate
vectra b 2.0 dtl / dth, and the same for 2.2 do not require a timing belt change as they are chain driven , however the tensioner requires checking after 150,000
Vauxhall now recommend a change of cam belt every 40,000 miles or every 4 years. The used to say 80,000/8 years but they had too many failures. Have a kit fitted, this includes the tensioners.
How often do you need to change the cam belt on an Astre 1.6 club 2000 plate
Does a vauuxhall aastra 1.4 petrol turbo have a cam belt or is it chain driven
72,000 miles or 5 years
every 100k mate
It has a belt
Youll need to remove the air box if its on a vectra B. Then remove the cambelt cover. There should be a bolt between the cam pullies, undo it and left out sensor. Then put everything back in reverse
not sure if it is of any help but i have just bought vauxhall movano 02 model had cam belt changed
Ur talking on a 2.0ltr DTI 16v the chain needs to come of the cam then can be lifted of after all the stripping i would price it at 80 pound / sterling
how many cam sensors are there on a vectra c 1.8 sri 06 plate
Belt Change intervals are 40,000 miles or 4 years
Every 40k miles, buy a kit which contains the belt and the pullies, as its the pully bearings that collapse.
hi your cam sensor an a petrol vectra b is under the rocker cover the bit where it says ecotec remove this panel and u will c the spark plugs remove all the bolts from the rocker cover and u will have to remove the top half of the timing belt cover to access the cam sensor it is in between the cam pullies.
