If your crank sensor goes out how do you know which one to change?

There is only one crank sensor fitted, you may also have a cam sensor. the crank sensor is located either around the bellhousing or around the front crank pulley. It either has 2 or 3 wires. It picks the signal off the revolving crank so look for a sensor in the block near flywheel.

How do you change a crank position sensor on a Mercedes clk 430?

Well i can only tell you where its located and how to change it on a 2000 Mercedes Benz CLK430 I recently changed mine. The Crank Position Sensor is located under the hood on the Driver side their is a fat black wire that goes down into the crankshaft connecting into the sensor so first you have to unclip the wire to get to the sensor after you've done that you will see the sensor in the shaft you will need a 1/4" socket, extension and ratchet to unscrew the torx screw that connects the sensor to the shaft and a pair of vice grips to wiggle this sensor out since its about 3" long and positioned into the sensor that far down if you need a picture of the engine showing the engine and location of it email me @ Delroyh24@yahoo.com
