How do you change a front axle on a 2002 Pontiac grand prix?

Take the tire off

remove the axle nut

remove the pinch bolt and remove the ball joint from the spindle

Push the end of the axle through the spindle"center of brake rotor"

that might require a hammer and punch, be careful not to ruin threads

carefully pry the axle from transmission, this may take some force

while holding the axle and moving the rotor/spindle out of the way, pull the axle out

reverse to install, making sure to properly torque all bolts and nuts to the recommended specs. failure to do so can result in an accident. Use thread lock on the ball joint pinch bolt for added safety.
