You have to remove the entire lamp assembly to change the bulbs.

.) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

.) Romove the four plastic push- fastenersthat secure the upper radiator seal to the grille support and both fender ledges.

.) Remove the two plastic push-pin rivets that secure the upper radiator seal to the radiator

.) Remove the upper radiator seal from the vehicle. (steps 2 thru 4 are just how to remove the plastic cover between the radiator and grille)

It is not necessary to remove the grille from the front of the vehicle to service the front lamp units.

.) Remove the screw that secures the upper mounting tab of the front lamp unit to the Front End Module (FEM) carrier (also known as the radiator closure).

.) Using a socket with a magnetic insert or with a small piece of butyl tape inserted, (I used a telescoping magnet once the screw was loosend I touched the magnet to the screw before removing the socket, this made it easy to retrieve the screw) reach down between the grille and the FEM carrier to access, remove and retrieve the screw that secures the lower mounting tab of the front lamp.

.) Remove the fastener that secures the tab at the bottom of the access panel to the front of the front wheel house splash shield (inner plastic fender liner)

.) Reach through the access opening of the wheel house splash shield and lift the slide lock upward (if you shine a flash light inside the opening you will see a white piece of plastic, this is the slide lock they are refering to) far enough to disengage it from the lock post integral to the back of the front lamp housing.

.) From the front of the vehicle, grasp the outboard edge of the front lamp unit firmly and pull it straight forward to disengage the ball stud from the plastic grommet in the FEM carrier. (I thought for sure I was going to break something at this step, instead of pulling from the front I place one hand in front of the assembly and reached inside the access panel and pushed the light forward to disengage it from the ball stud.)

.) Pull the lamp away from the front of the vehicle far enough to access and disconnect the bulbs. (most already know how to remove the bulb from the lamp assembly)
