Remove steering column cowel You need tork screwdriver for the two screws underneath the steering wheel in recesses. Remove the cover and you will see there are 2 more (smaller) tork screws holding the stalk unit in place facing you. Take those out and the stalk unit comes away. The wire bundles on the back are tight, but will ease off if you sqeeze the clips at the side or even slide a thin screwdriver down the side to ease them off.They will come away. Replace new stalk and reverse order to reassemble. Its pretty easy

Ensure that cruise switch is set to on - this is the small switch half way down the front of the stalk. Cruise control can only be used in 4th and 5th gears, and above 30mph.
