This is not a job for the the novice ! if you are not very good at car repair DO NOT TRY TO THIS! you will nedd to jack and support the truck. remove the bolts holding the rear cover on. remove the 5/16 bolt holding the the axle pin in and remove the "c" clip. remove the tire,brake drum, and axle. you will need a puller to get the seal out. you can rent this from your parts store. remove the seal. to breplace it, put a SMALL amount of gasket sealer on the outside ring of the seal and using a seal driver(rented) drive the seal in place. reverse the above so re-install all parts. don't forget to refill the the rear with gear oil. use the specs. in your owners man. to buy the right oil. to refill. remove the plug on the front of the the rear. fill till it runs out of the fill hole. reinstall the plug and tighten. I can't stress the fact that you really need to know what youare doing to do this!
