first drop the drive shafts of the rear end and the font end if your dealling with a 4x4, second unhook any wires from the trany and transfercase and tie them up out of the way. then un bolt the transfercase from the trany and set aside then pull starter, and the plastic covers on either side of the bell housing. then through the stater hole un blot the tourqe converter, then unbolt the bell housing, make sure you also un hook the trany cooling lines and the dipstick. from there remove the tany, once the tranys out of the way then unbolt the flex plate, from there thers a cover plate you have to unbolt then using a couple flat blade srewdrivers you can pry out the old main seal. then from there just reverse order to put back togther i did mine laying on my back bc i dont have a lift in 2 and a half hours and that was with pry 20 min breaks altogther. by my self. its not hard its commen sence look before you unbolt and plan ahead.

Remove transmission and replace the rear main seal
You remove the trans and flywheel. The seal then drives in from the rear.
Once you get to the seal it is an easy repair. Problem is you must remove the drive shaft, 4x4 differential, and transmission to get to the seal. Not an easy repair.
