Elevate your lawnmower upright if possible (to avoid tipping and leaking gas) to access the blade area. Once the lawnmower is elevated or tipped over, look under the mowing deck and locate a round plug with a square depression. Use a 1/4 inch socket extension to remove this plug. Oil will run out immediately, so be ready to catch with some kind of pan (the bottom of a milk carton works great). Once the oil starts to drain, if you tilted you mower to access the bottom, tip it back to it's wheels, making sure that the oil is still draining into the pan. Remove the oil cap from the top of the engine to ensure more complete draining. Once the oil is drained, replace the plug in the bottom. Fill the engine with 4 stroke oil, and check for leaks. Relplace oil fill cap, and mow away!

Just put enough in to fill it up. Start with 1/2 quart and go from there.
It depends on if you bought a pull start mower or a power mower. The pull start mower will have a handle you have to pull hard to start it. The power mower should have a button that simply turns it on. Make sure there is gas in the pull start mower.
There are several reasons why your mower will not start. There could be an obstruction in the blade, a petrol mower could be low on petrol or the fuse could have blown in an electric mower.
No for your lawn mower you will just need regular lawn mower oil.
The safety switch to start the motor on a Ranchking riding mower is located in the ignition. If the clutch needs to be depressed several times before the mower will start, there might be a problem with the adjustment of the clutch.
It is possible that an electric start lawn mower will not start because the starter is not working properly. The ignition may also be malfunctioning.
If all oil the mower will not start. If only a little oil, the mower may start but run rough and smoke very much.
