Remove belt and tensioner should just be bolted to engine
You don't say which engine or year but see my post under "How do you change a serpentine belt on a 93 Buick Skylark" for a possible answer.
Most serpentine belts can be changed on the side of the road. It is usually an extremely simple procedure.
If it's a V-6, it's at the bottom of the serpentine belt. There should be a diagram of the belt on a label where the passenger's side shock absorber is, under the hood.
There is no tension adjustment. Tension is automatically adjusted by the idler pulley.
replace tension put it on
Maybe $100 tops....
the diagram is in the left corner closest to the passenger seat
will the fenders from a 1971 Buick Skylark Custom fit a 1972 Buick Skylark?
put a wrench on the tensioner pully and pull it to release tension on the belt
Buick Skylark was created in 1953.
with a 9/16 socket and ratchet
