Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, it leads you to the thermostat housing. The thermostat is under the thermostat housing.

On the 3.7L and 4.7L the thermostat is under the housing where the lower radiator hose hooks to the engine.
Open the hood, locate the upper radiator hose on the radiator, follow the hose from the radiator, it will lead you to the thermostat housing on the engine, the thermostat is located under the thermostat housing.
Not needed as the thermostat is on top of the engine on the right.

Locate the upper radiator hose. Where the hose attaches to the engine, there is a thermostat housing (it is metal and is bolted to the engine and attached to the hose). You must remove the radiator hose and then the two bolts that hold the thermostat housing in place. The thermostat will be underneath the housing. Make sure you install the new thermostat in the correct direction (right side facting outward).
pull out one of the plugs, and if the threaded part is turning black from carbon then either clean them up or replace them
Most parts stores can look them up. Sizes & opening temps differ for different engines.
