Follow the upper radiator hose to where it connects to the gooseneck on the engine. Under the gooseneck is where the thermostat is located. You'll have to disconnect the hose and remove the gooseneck from the intake manifold. It's usually attached with just two bolts. You'll find the thermostat underneath. Replace the old thermo with the new one. Make sure you place it in position exactly like the one you removed. Clean the mating surfaces on the intake and the gooseneck of all old gasket material and debris. Apply the new gasket and sealer then reattach the gooseneck and the radiator hose. Refill your coolant to its proper levels. NOTE: Please be extra careful not to spill any coolant onto your driveway. Ethylene glycol (anti-freeze) is poison to cats and other pets.
