Depends entirely on which craftsman lawn mower you're referring to.
You can purchase Craftsman lawn mower parts from the Sears website. Alternatively, you can also find Craftsman lawn mower parts from the Mow Part website.
I'm sure you can find one at any auto parts store, Walmart, or lawn mower repair shop. If they don't have the Craftsman brand, they will have a replacement filter of another quality brand.

I have a Craftsman Lawn Mower and it does not have an oil filter on it. I believe most smaller air cooled four stroke engines do not have an oil filter just because they are light duty. This is why it is essential to change your oil at least every season because your only line of defense against pre-mature engine failure is fresh oil.

Most blade bolts on lawn mowers are reverse threaded. The bolts on the Craftsman brand lawn mower are also reversed.
If you tilt the mower to get at the blade for sharpening, or go down a particularily steep slope, gas will run from the tank out through the filter.
There are a number of different types of lawn mowers out there, but none of them hold a candle to a Craftsman lawn mower. The level of name recognition that Craftsman enjoys does not come easily, and there are a number of ways that you can make sure you get the best Craftsman lawn mower for your unique yard space. First, make sure you get a lawn mower that is appropriate for the size of your yard. This is the first mistake that most people make. Many will choose to get a larger mower than they need and they end up regretting it.
On my Craftsman Lawn Mower, I have to raise the lawn mower or tilt it on it's side, and underneath where the blade is, there is a large drain plug. Take it off and catch the oil. This is a great time to clean the underside of your lawn mower and either sharpen or replace your blade.....Nothing cuts better than a sharp blade!
