The thermistor is located on the positive battery cable where the cable connects to the battery. There should be a red cover over it. Pinch together the plastic prongs to remove the red cover. Then disconnect the thermistor from the white clip it is attached to. You can test it with an ohm meter to find out if it is good. The reading on the meter should be 5 ohms. If the reading is lower than 5 or there is no reading at all then the thermistor is bad. Unfortunately this part is discontinued. I was lucky to find one at my local junk yard on another Aurora. Hope this helps.

Remove the intake manifold. The starter is underneath.
It is very easy to change the license plate light on an Oldsmobile Aurora. All you need to do is remove the license plate and look above where the plate was. There are bolts that are holding the light in. Unscrew the bolts and then replace the light.
The battery is located under the back seat. Simply pull up on the rear seat with a firm grip (grab the seat close to where your feet would be if you were sitting in it). The battery is located on the floor board behind the passenger seat. Simply remove the cables and take the battery out.
