first locate the blower motor, and next to it you will see it. two bolts are holding it, can not miss it 5 or 6 cables connect to it. to have an idea you can get one at outozone first that way you can id it faster. if you have problems with your blower motor speeds one works and the next one don't and the last one does it then is the resistor. to make sure of it you can make a test is got to be continuity in all the terminal...
The blower resistor is above the strut tower on the passenger side under the hood.
resister is located on the plenum next to the blower motor under the hood
The blower motor resister block is located in the center of the dash. Remove the complete glovebox and look to the left and you will see it...............
Blower motor resistor assembly is located under dash on passenger side.
According to the haynes manual it is under the glovbox on the blower box but it isn't theres in a 1998 BMW z3 and i am trying to research the location
You have a relay located behind the glove box once removed to the left and you also have a blower resister that controls the speeds located on the passengers side in the blower motor housing..............
rmove the windshield battery, and you can reach in and feel the risistir and plug, it is held in place with two screws, Philip head, they are hard to get to withot removeing the heater blower.
You probably have water tht has entered the heater case through the cowl air inlet, which has damaged the heater blower resister assembly. It is held into the case with two 8mm screws, and is locatted under the glove box area right beside the heater blower motor. Turn on the blower and follow the sound, and you will find the resister assembly right there. I'll bet if you replace the resister assembly, you will have all your speeds back again.
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1996 Chevy Corsica blower motor. Remove the blower motor retaining bolts. Remove the fan from the front of the blower motor. Reverse the process to install the new blower motor.

Remove the glove box (six Phillips head screws). Above the blower on the blower housing you will see a white electrical plug with a Phillips head screw just in front of it. Below this plug is the resistor. Remove this screw and and the resister will be able to be accessed.
Not sure, but a 2000 CJ5 blower relay is behind the glove box, down and to the right.
