Most People do not know that they have two. You are a head of the game. the primary filter is on the inside of the frame rail on the driver side. I use a long long ext. on my ratchet with a fuel filter socket. 36MM. they make thies for 10.00 to 15.00 at the local parts stores lisle i is one maker. the reason i use a 30in ext is to keep from taking a bath in diesel. after replacing the filter start truck let run a min or so. the secondary filter is in the top front of engine smaller cap with place for 1/2 in ratchet and short ext. to remove and replace. start truck let run. if truck starts and dies it got a little air just keep trying to start and it will. USE MOTOERCRAFT FILTER'S ON THIS ENGINE OTHER FILTER COMPANYS COPY AND IS NOT THE SAME. CAN LEAD TO POSSIBLE ENGINE DAMAGE.
