1 Loosen lug nuts w/ vehicle on ground.

2 Raise vehicle and remove wheel.

3 Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper and be certain not to loose the bolt or the two copper washers on either side of the bolt. Wrap the end of the hose in a small plastic bag or similar material to prevent contamination from dust and debris.

4 Remove the upper and lower caliper retaining bolts.

5 Using a large c-clamp, one end behind the caliper and the screw part on the outer pad, slowly clamp down to push in the caliper cylinder. This should loosen the caliper and make it easy to lift right off. Set it aside, and don't let anything get into the brake line hole on the back.

6 Pull the rotor straight off. If it sticks, spray it with a little PB Blaster and tap it LIGHTLY from behind with a hammer. Usually, the rotor will simply pull right off without any trouble.

7 Installation is reverse of removal. Be sure to refill your brake fluid and bleed your brakes.

Where do you find the abs sensor on 1999 dodge 1500?

it's on the rear differential. It also controls your speedo. I had a pulsating problem with my front and thought it was the rotors but it was my abs sensor controlling the brake piston that was causing the problem.

Why are your disk brakes still grind after they were changedit's a 2002 Dodge ram 1500?

if there is uneven wear on the rotors, the new pads will take time to wear into the grooves on the rotors. rotors in poor condition will reduce the efficiency of your brakes, and promote wear of the pads, you will end up changing them more often. Most brake shops can turn rotors back to being smooth and true.
