From what I started to do I can tell you need to take the strut off the hub assembly and then take out the cv shaft so you can slide the rotor out of the caliber. Why did Chevy go and make it this hard to change brakes. What use to be a 10 minute job now turns into 2 hours. Please correct me if I am wrong.
You need to loosen of the hex nut on the back of the caliper to separate the 2 parts of the caliper. You may then proceed to remove the pads on either side. To remove the rotor you need to remove the retaining nut on the front in the center of the rotor. To put it all back together just do everything in reverse. Remember to use a C-clamp to push back in the caliper before putting the caliper back into place. Should take you no more than 20 min a side and a few extra minutes for the rotor.
