You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your 1986 Honda Accord. Remove the brake caliper and the brake spring. The disk brakes will come off. Reverse the process to install the new front disc brakes.
Of course. All vehicles have front & rear brakes.

How do you change the front brakes on a Ford Escort- ZX2 model, 2002 model
i Another answer, I changed all of the pads( front and rear) on my Element in about an hour. Obtained pads from Kragen auto parts store (about 70.00us) used floor jack and air gun. Simply unbolt wheels, caliper pins, slide out old pads, slide in new ones. I have been rebuilding brakes for 50 years, not all that hard.
There are no emergency brakes on the front wheels of vehicles.
You have disc brakes front and rear. Disc brakes are self adjusting. If the brakes are poor, you have a problem and it needs attention.
No, most of the stopping is performed by the front brakes. But Honda uses a braking system that applies the rear brakes first. For this reason the rear brakes on some Hondas will wear out first.
