I own a diesel (1.9dti) Renault megane 2000 edition. I change the brake pads(front) every 15000 Miles approximately.
UNDER THE ENGINE BLOCK FRONT RIGHT HAND SIDE ON THE EXHAUST MIGHT HAVE TO TAKE THE ENGINE UNDERCOVER OFF TO GET IN GOOD
remove drivers side front wheel, plastic panel behind spring/shock. real fiddly but can be done with minimal swearing ! if you have A/c then the air may be a tad bluer!
I had similar problem with my Scenic, the problem was with the drainage tubes at the front corners being blocked. on my Renault scenic 1998 version it was at the front of the engine bay with a red cap but as for the 2003 version i dont have no idea hope this helps
In my '00 Renault megane scenic, the chassis number is located under the spare tire. If you can't find it there, there's a sticker in the bottom of the B pillar on the right side of the car, that contains several numbers. The chassis number is the one that start by VF . The B pillar is the one between the front and back door. To be able to see the sticker, you have to open the right front door. Hope this helps.
